"Karaoke text", ahem!
Hi I have a job where I will be cutting material together to make 3 karaoke music videos (don't ask). I need to animate the text color/crawl, in accordance with the music, or create a "bouncing ball effect" so that viewers are cued when to sing along.
I have FCP studio2, and planned to use Live Type to do this, using keyframes, and the hue setting (this would work for the color shifting text option). Though I am pretty sure that Motion would be a better option I am less confident with the program. As I need to make 3 such animated text videos, I am wondering if anyone has better or more efficient suggestions for achieving this effect, or a simple way to animate "bouncing ball effect"? Thanks! -Tom |

Live Type would work good for the color shift, but Motion would be easy to do a bouncing ball effect. You can use keyframes in Motion just as you would in LT, but the best way is to do a live recording and move the object in real time. Motion then records all the keyframes for you which you can go back and fine tune for proper sync.
