Problem with rectangular pixels in compressor

Hi:

This question might have been asked before but I couldn't find an answer:

I record in HDV, 1440x1080 rectangular pixels, when I export the video using Compressor to MPEG-2 I have no problem, but exporting to H.264 or MPEG-4 I get 1440x1080 square pixels. I have tried setting aspect ratio to 16:9 but no difference.

How do you get conversion right for these formats?

I want to convert for vimeo and I understand they recommend MPEG-4 or H.264, but maybe I should go with MPEG-2?

Thanks, Erik

When exporting, set Image Size = Custom = 1920x1080 (or smaller if it's for web use, such as 480x270).
