G5 dual 2Ghz ordered today
Hiya all,
I have just ordered my G5 dual 2Ghz online today at the Apple Store and I just wanted to share my intense happiness with you guys! Any one else out there awaiting their new toy? I'm currently running a G4 single 500Mhz and I am growing old waiting for it to render! Cheers! Adrian |

Can I share my intense jealousy? I won't be able to get one until next spring :(

Adrian, I think you are going to be one happy filmmaker. Let us know when it arrives and how you like it (as if we really are in suspense over the latter point). Rick and I will be living vicariously through you.
BTW, how is your filmmaking going? One of the marks of a good story-teller is how memorable his/her works are. It's been months since I saw your "Talking with Fishes" short and I still think about it every so often. Very memorable story, casting and shooting.

Congrats, Adrian,
I've got my eye on a dual 2 Ghz also. My G4's about the same age as yours. Let us know how everything goes.

Thanks guys,
Ken: Thanks for the compliments, I'm delighted that you even remember the film! It has since travelled a number of festivals worldwide and also, I have since made 2 other shorts. However, I'm still trying to find the server space to post them online. Right now, I'm currently looking for a job (in TV/ film in UK) and so my filmmaking has slowed down somewhat... but I'm DoPing for another director on his short this Sept. Get to play with the mini35 again which should be delightful! I have a few ideas for a feature which I'm trying to flesh out (really difficult!) and hopefully will get made one day. Cheers all, Adrian |

I'm sure Brad will find a way to sleep better sometime soon. Maybe when the G5 gets to dual 3GHz next year.

Nope, haven't got the computer yet... Apple have given me a shipping date of on or before 6 Oct, so there's a bit of a wait for me yet... hopefully it doesn't get delayed!
Really looking forward to getting it though! |
