From FCP timeline to tape in XLH1

Why is my XLH1 telling me to check my HDV Input when I try to print to tape from FCP?

The project I'm working on is on a external hardrive connected via firewire 800. I've printed to tape before, a 30 second project, from the same harddrive and it worked fine. This project that I'm working on now is close to 20 minutes.

Everything I'm working on was originally captured from the Canon XLH1 as 1080 HDV, 30f, stereo and should go back onto a new tape with the same settings.

Any ideas?
