Log & Transfer question

Hey Guys

When i transfered my data from my 16gb CF card using FCP it loads the clips in the browser window. Ok i save my project dump all my video in there how can it transfer 6 hours of video from my CF cards and the project file be only 2.6mb in size

I guess it must re-encode the files for FCP and once i export the final project into a quicktime format thats when i will have the large file sizes.

The project file won't reflect the overall size of your media, only the size of the project file itself.

The transfered data is encoded into a FCP friendly file type and placed in the Capture Folder just as if you had captured from tape. Find that folder and you'll see the real size of the files.

Where is the Capture Scratch folder? That contains the main video files of your project.
