Creating dvd menu in photoshop and bringing into DVDSP

The text gets really choppy when I do this? How can I get my image from photoshop into DVD Studio Pro without the text looking very choppy? The image takes a hit also, but the text is unbearably bad.

Are you rendering as a jpeg or gif? Gifs look better for stuff like this.
