Intensity Pro wih FCP
I need external monitoring from Final Cut Pro timeline via HDMI, preferably onto mainstream HD television set. I am thinking of Intensity Pro card for that purpose.
My question is: will it provide external preview from XDCAM EX codec 1080 25p timeline? It is not clearly stated on Blackmagic web site, as some formats are being mentioned, but not XDCAM EX 1080 25p I work with. Thanks. |

Hi,
Yeh the card will do that fine. I too had the same questions but it took me actually buying the card myself to find out, but I can confirm that I am outputting 1080p 25p ex timeline via hdmi to my 40 inch hdtv and it plays flawlessly. I heard rumors that I would have to use their codecs instead of the sony presets in fcp and all sorts of stuff but its all rubbish, all you do is have your timeline set up as you usually would and set your output to the blackmagic card and your good to go. |
