Jason and Mitchell,

Are either of you deinterlacing your footage when using Compressor? I tried exporting a ProRes422 HQ in 1080i to Compressor using the standard SD DVD presets. The DVD I burned in DVD Studio Pro was the best quality I've been able to get to date, compared to iDVD. But there is still room for improvement.

So I wonder if Jason's method of downconverting to 720x480i using Quicktime Conversion in ProRes422, then using Compressor for deinterlacing and MPEG-2 compression, might yield better results.

Any thoughts?
