FCP 5.1 + HV20 Work Flow Help

I'm editing on an intel iMac, 2 gigs of memory, using FCP 5.1 with a 22 inch Vizio HD as a second monitor.

The problem I'm encountering is that when I go to capture my footage from my HV20, FCP is not seeing the camera, only the monitor.

I've tried all the general help topics, refreshing the A/V devices, etc... but I know there's something I'm missing.

Help!

Off the top of my head, assuming you have a good firewire cable and the HV20 is working right, close final cut, power the camera on, launch final cut; log and capture should say VTR OK if it sees the camera; be sure you have the same settings (hdv or sd) in your final cut setup that you are playing back from the camera; log & capture won't see an HDV signal if your setup is SD and vice-versa.
