Cineform Neo Scene v1 and FCP6?

I am going with Panny (AVCHD), but I plan to continue editing with FCS2. Hence I need to transcode AVCHD into .mov files. I was wondering if Neo Scene v1 and FCS2 are a good match? I am using Macbook Pro 15" and 4G RAM. Any input appreciated.

Hello,

I will be watching this thread as I have the same question. So far allowing iMovie or FCE to do the transcoding to .MOV has left me very disappointed.
I have tried all sorts of options and nothing has given a satisfactory result.
Even now I am editing movies on a PC instead using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum which works so much better with AVCHD than any of the Mac applications.

Why don't you want to use ProRes which ships with FCP?
