Viewing FCP Fonts
I'm adding some basic text to a few things and I was wondering if there was a bette way to view all the fonts available in FCP without either remembering good ones or trial and error. I tried searching for a page that would maybe show me a sentence in every font, but struck out.
How do you guys find the fonts you like?

Matt,
FCP has full access to every font installed on your system. A quick method of preview is to use the built-in app, "Font Book" in your applications folder. It will give you a list of all your available fonts - even ones installed from third-party apps like Adobe - and even allow you to create your own list of favorites. I've forgotten how to do it exactly, but a forum member in the SoCal area actually found a method of creating a list of favorite fonts in Font Book and transferring that "favs" list to FCP for quick access. Try using the search feature for how he did this - I've slept since then and my brain has rebooted so I can't remember myself. (*_^) |
