Adobe Premire on the Mac?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use Adobe premiere (either 6 or Pro) on the Mac platform?

Maybe after they introduce the Intel based macs in a year or two :-)

I can't imagine that it would run under Virtual PC now. Actually there was Premiere 6 for Macintosh. I first learned video editing with Premiere on a Power Mac 8100 in 1995. At that time I believe it was a Mac-only program in fact. But Adobe dropped support for the Mac with version 6 a number of years ago. Believe me, you would not want that version today (it ran under System 9).

I upgraded my old version to 6 and used it for one project. I was not very happy with it - buggy and slow with an awkward user interface. About that same time FCP 3 was released so I switched. Doing some housecleaning a year or so ago I threw away my old premiere disks. Sorry, I think you'll need a PC if you want to run Premiere.

I learned Premiere on a Mac... What an experience that was for me! I think Pro is when Adobe stopped working with Mac systems. Ver 6 should work fine, but I can't say how it will work with OS10

I believe Premiere 6.5 was also released for the Mac platform, as an OS X program.

If you have Adobe Premiere, you might be able to take advantage of a deal where you upgrade to FCE for a very low price.
