Why does it take 5 mins to read 40mg proj at startup?

unning FCP on iMac i7, 8 gigs memory and a Lacie 1 tera...
Project is less than 40mg (tho efx heavy, filters, motion etc.)
Ran Disk Util verify and repair ~ no problems
(Have left a trail of old unrelated projs around ~
but this one seems clean...) ???

Permissions and Disk Utility won't address what's most likely going on with your system which is one of the following issues or a combination thereof:

- Directory out of order (DiskWarrior)
- Temp, Cache and other deeper files needs clearing out/refreshing (Onyx)
- FCP temp. cache, project files need cleaning out/resetting (Digital Rebellions FCP Toolkit)

Get those items cleaned up and things should be right as rain after.
