Audio from DVR into iMovie 11

Hello: This involves audio from an Olympus 802 Digital Voice Recorder. It is in the 'WMA' format. The DVR has a built in USB connector. I have just filmed a thirty second segment, and I used the DVR and a Lav. I cannot figure out how to import the audio into iMovie 11. I cannot even find the information in the book, 'The Missing Manual', which normally covers everything. I have tried dragging the audio to iMovie and iTunes. I have tried the same thing from the Finder. I have tried importing. Nothing happens. I don't know if I'm supposed to convert the audio or what. These DVRs have been used for a number of years now, and I assume that there must be a relatively easy way to get the audio into the project. I have become so perplexed that I'm thinking of just holding the DVR in front of a 'Blue Snowball'. If any of you reading this have dealt with DVRs and iMovie, please respond. Thank you, Lee Saylor |
