Screwed up (video playback set to main screen)

My buddy was playing around and set his FCP video playback to main screen and now can't get to the menu to change it back. He's at his witts ends and about to reinstall... is there any options other than that?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

APPLE-F12 turns this on and off. You set the playback option under the VIEW>EXTERNAL VIDEO menu options.

Then he's not doing it right, or missing a step...

APPLE-F12. And he might try turning off EXPOSÉ in the system preferences.

I'm not sure what can be missed in Apple + F12 ;) but I agree it seems like something is not right... I asked him to make sure that he was sure final cut was selected and he said he was playing things and such but nothing would work... I might end up going out there tomorrow and I'll look

Is there any preferrence file that he can delete that will set him back to default?

Press the ESC key. Upper Left.

This isn't a messed up preference file, but if you insist, you can use this nifty tool:

I agree with you completely... in fact escape was my first guess but he claims nothing works... he's about to reinstall so yeah, it's getting bad :)

Some how the keyboard is messed up... SHIFT F12 worked... escape never worked... it's not an "official" mac keyboard but still not sure how that would be... Apple Z is still undo and all so that's very weird... this is a fairly fresh install and I know that he hasn't messed with the key mapping.

Oh, well he got if :) Thanks for the help and suggestions.
