FCP 4.0 with XL2 - Help
 

Hi,
This is my first time using FCP, so I'm not sure how to capture; I shot my footage with an XL2 16x9 advanced 24p and eventually plan to make an anamorphic DVD with it. As I've never used FCP, I'm not sure what settings to capture this with. Any help would be really appreciated.

First, if you are really running FCP 4.0 then you should update to FCP 4.5 HD, which is free:

What version of MacOSX are you running? See the following related thread:

In FCP 4.5 go to the Final Cut Pro menu and choose "Easy Setup." Check the little box that says "show all." Now pull down the menu to "DV-NTSC 24- (23.98) Advanced Pulldown. Now create a new project with these settings. In the capture settings and sequence settings you may also need to click the "anamorphic 16:9" check box.

Thanks a lot, I got it to work. Now I just have one more question - how would I do this offline? I see a lot of offline options, but none for Advanced Pulldown. Which one would I choose?
