Importing Audio (Confused Soul)
Well here I am at another road block. Lesson 10. I am trying to import music from my itunes library. Page 336 on my lesson book calls for importing the music... but I am at my wit's end trying to figure it out.
I have everything set to import, but I can't get it to actually import my music into FCP. I've searched the forums but am still coming up short. Help! |

music import
There may be copyright problems that will affect your movement out of iTunes, but generally the workflow is FCP File>Import>files>choose.....now here's the rub:
FCP likes AIFF files @ 48K, 16 bit. Others occasionally don't fare well, some don't work at all...soooo, if you want the music to play nicely with FCP then you need to convert your files, (easy in iTunes), to the criteria noted above and make certain that any copyrighted music can be transferred or even converted at all. If the criteria can be met, then make a new bin, Apple B, name it "music," or whatever and import away, but remember the copyright laws! Hope this helps. |
