Printing pal DV to min dv.

Running FCP 5.0.4

Trying to print PAL - DV (not dvcam) shot on a PD150p onto tape via a Canon MV530i which i use as a deck.

I've done this before fine through Premiere pro, which i haven't used in a long time, and for some reason im not getting any video or audio being recorded onto tape. All i get is a black screen, i know the firewire is working because im telling FCP to activate the deck and start recording automatically, which it is doing.. just no picture or sound is getting through.

I've gone through and checked the audio video prefs and also the external - all frames setting, and they are correct. But still im getting nothing onto this tape. I know its not the tape, its brand new, and i know its not the camera, as as much as i hated to do it, i tired doing it through my pd150 (trying to keep this in as good a shape than ever so never! use it as a deck)

I haven't tired hooking up the camera via the rca's to an external monitor.. guess i should.

but yea, im rather stumped. This tape was ment to be in the post before the end of the day.
