HC1 to FCP

Hi All,

Need a little help. I am taking an HD Tape to FCP5 in native HD Format using an HC1. Computer can control the camera, but can't see the picture.

I have the settings dialed into 10801 easy setup but for some reason cannot get the video. Wierd. Help!

Jack: I have no problems with the same setup as you (using FCP 5.1), using the same Easy Setup (HDV 1080i). That said, it seems that the problem descibed by you happens quite frequently. I would try the following:

- Make sure the camera is not set to down-convert HDV to DV (i.e. i.Link Conv set to OFF in the Standard Set menu)
- Check this thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=67158 (don't know first hand if this would help you)

HTH,

Ron

Yup, that's it.

The camera had to be on HDV instead of Auto which is also the setting for HDV/DV downconvert. Thanks. I guess this is the new version of kicking the plug. Thanks a million, Ron.

Regards,

Jack
