Flip 4 mac was too slow on my MAC.
I do this - export the size you need as a PhotoJpeg QT..... Bring that into Vegas and it renders to .wmv in almost real time..... http://www.motionzonehd.com/product....1&cat=0&page=2 I encoded this file with that process.... File size is a little big but I wanted great quality. |

Well that could be a problem....
Having tried Flip for MAC, I was not impressed with the quality. It would probably be cheaper to get a PC laptop and Vegas..... This way you are not tying up a MAC and when your clients come in with PC file, you are prepared. |

We are 100% mac company. i have been looking at canvas for mac. See the problem is that we have just bought a TV station (well the company i work with) and we need export to .mv2 or .mpg or .mpeg. As long as they are mpeg 2 so that we can put them onto one of our servers and that the Adtec (Transmitter) can read the file and then broadcast the program to the city.

You can use compressor to export m2v files
As far as the WMV encoder, you don't need Vegas, Windows Media Encoder is 100% free, but won't work with a mac. Sorry I can't say much about the Flip4Mac encoder. I used the demo version, and yes, it was a tad slow, but it works fine to get a WMV file. I exported a sample file about 5 min long and it plays just fine on my Windows PC. |

Here is what we did. Create the .m2v and .aiff files with compressor..... Then use MPEGStreamclip to Mux the two files together to create a .TS file that the Adtec can play. E-mail me at info@motionzonehd.com if you need any help...... |
