Native format?

Hi,
It's my first time capturing and editing footage I shot on the hd100-u. WE shot at 720 p24 in the letterbox frame ratio. I have followed the suggestions in teh topmost sticky about my A?V settings (ie HDV, 23.98 fps) etc. And all seems good, but when I drag a recently captured clip onto the timeline it needs rendering. Is this just the case because its HDV, or do I still have some setting wrong? Thanks,

Michael

It shouldnt need rendering. What computer and editing software are you using?

What I do to make sure it matches up is scroll to the right in your clip bin and make sure every detail matches up between your sequence and your clip.

In FCP, if you created your sequence before doing the easy setup, you may need to create a new sequence with the correct settings. As stated above, just look at the sequence settings (Command 0) and make sure they match a clip that is captured in the bin.
