My favorite is Lynda.com, but it is not free. The basic mambership is $25US per month, which auto bills to a credit card every month. What is nice is ther are no time limits and you can stop and restart your membership at any time.

Buy a month's time, learn like crazy, then cancell until you are ready to spend additional time online in learning mode.

I'll second Waldemar. Lynda.com is a great place to learn whatever you want that is computer software related. $25.00 is a small price to pay for a month's worth of training.

If you'd rather get a book, check out Tom Wolsky's books on FCE. He includes a DVD with video used in his tutorials. I started out with FCE 1 and Tom's book and am now using FCP 5.1

Here's a link to the FCE training. You can preview the first few tutorials for free.

Any ideas for a paid seminar for FCE? I am much better at hands on learning.

If you have any NLE experience at all, I would highly recommend the Apple Pro Training Series tutorials that come with a DVD. I didn't think I would like that method either, but once I made myself sit down and do it, it was like having somebody over my shoulder helping.
