No V1 support in FCP 6 -- yet

Reading through the FCP 6 docs -- not a word about Sony V1 24p.

It looks like Cinema Tools -- which I use -- is the way 2-3 will "generally" be handled. But, that forces the use of AIC or another codec. If AIC, then no TC! If ProRes, you'll need the AJA box.

However, there are two updates coming at the same time (all have been delayed). One could be 24p native capture WITH 2-3 removal for the Sony and Canon. Or, a more general AIC capture with deck cotrol and TC. (This would be nice. Although maybe it's already in FCP 6. Must check.)

The first would allow native 24p editing. The second, intermediate 24p editing.

The second update, hopefully, is 720p50720p60 support.

If you want to see some wonderful JVC 24p video, try this link:

So I read, but they were delayed. Until they arrive -- assume they won't. :)
