Conform 30FPS to 24FPS
I have a 30p footage that I would like to put on a 24p timeline and have it extend the original duration. When I try to do that in FCP 5, it tries to keep the original duration by skipping one frame every 5 or 6 frames. I just want to keep all the original frames and I don't care about audio going out of sync. Any ideas guys of how that could be done?
Thank you very much in advance. |

cinema tools does that somehow...not quite sure, but there are threads on here that have instructions.
Cinema Tools is part of Studio, which you should have if you've got FCP5 :) |

Bingo
Bingo. That does the trick. Thank you Cole. The only problem that in my case I am working with AVI files and Cinema Tools only accepts MOV files. But once its MOV, the conforming process does not require re-encoding, which is good.
