'jagged' door opening

Hi,
I put a little piece of video here: http://www.dailymotion.com/toftof2/video/9708555
Please notice the 'jagged' way the door is opening; it can be seen best (or should I say worst) in white edge of the door, going form left to right
this effect is not present in the original CineForm avi, which I captured from my Sony HVR 1VE (got it a few weeks)
however, when I put it into after effects
it was rendered out of after effects to photo jpeg - and with that the jagginess is introduced
(for the web it is in h264 of course)
rendering from premiere gives the same effect
anyone a clue what could cure this?
regards,
Johan

Deinterlace or Limitations of Flash?

Hi, I've seen you've had 50 reads and no response yet. Suggest you search in the HD Editing section of this forum about interlace issues as I suspect that's what you're seeing (maybe, maybe not on reviewing your video). This kind of question about jagged edges comes up quite often and there are many posts from a number of people about how to avoid this issue by deinterlacing

The other thing it could be relates to issues with Flash as often any fast movement gives the kind of 'stepped' not quite caught up effect that I see. Read around about the limitations of Flash and web delivery. Websites that use DivX encoded video files (e.g. www.hostmedia.us, about to become www.setvid.com) will allow you to put content on the web that won't suffer this jagged edge syndrome. The DivX codec is a free download - just google it if you don't have it already.

Good luck and if you still need help working through it - we're all here!
