How much Bandwidth necessary?

I'm planning on setting up a website to showcase several of my short films. I can't afford to spend a lot of money on the website, and my main concern is how much bandwidth should be availiable. I do not want to ever exceed the limit, but have no idea how much I should have.

What is an adequate amount?

Thanks.

Well, it all depends on your traffic... how much are you willing to spend? (say.. per month?)

It is easy to calculate. Multiply the size of your films by the frequency with which you expect them to be viewed. Make sure you do not get billed if you reach the limit!

Ahh, good point, check with the hosting company and make sure they just disable your Web site when you go over. I had a friend who joined a hosting company that charged him... when he went 100GB over the limit he wasn't too happy with the bill!!

Thanks for the response.

I'm not exactly sure how much traffic I can expect, although I assume it will be fairly low, due to the fact that I'm a complete unknown in the industry.

I want to have it up for people to see, but don't want to go crazy with website fees, as I am fairly cash strapped. If the time comes where I need to expand, I will, but for now, I am just looking for a fairly specific figure to go with that is afforable and worthwhile.

If that makes any sense...

For example, here is a deal I was looking at...

10 GB Space • 500 GB Transfer

for 7.95 a month.

I will be putting up as many videos as I can... most run from 5-10 mins each.
