Re: Drone vs George the alligator

Assholes. The American alligator is a federally protected species and they probably just kiiled it if it ate the battery. I hope the drone operator is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

And this you stupid idiot is why there are so many regulations against drones. I hope they catch the operator and fine him into the dirt.

Agreed! Morons!

I was at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon last week. I didn't even pack my drone. Some places are simply too beautiful to have a bunch of idiots flying drones all over the place. Drones were banned in our National Parks early on because people were doing stupid things with them.

Here's another one, from Australia this time.

Crocodile crunches drone at wildlife park during documentary filming
The drone was found a couple of weeks later on the banks of the Australian lagoon, covered in bite marks.

I had to tell someone yesterday in Grand Teton to shut their drone down. I was polite but then I pretended like I was making a call on my cell phone. They were gone pretty fast.

That idiot was/is on staff at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Let's just say we have way far more crocs than drones.
