A suggestion for Focus Enhancements.... at DVinfo.net

We have used a range of Focus Products, including multiple FS-3's and FS-4's over the years. I thought that the FS-3's (GY-DV5000's) were a very innovative product and were very robust, with a metal housing and hot swapable drives. Why not go back to a similar form factor for the newer cameras? It would be nice if there were versions that you could mount in-line with an AB or IDX system, as well as adapters to mount to the different Cams like Sony, Panisonic and Canon Battery Mounts. The FS-4 is just so clunky and bulky. Most FS-4 Mounts are so cumbersome and akward to use. It's made of plastic and you can't swap the drives out, yet it is still just as much cost wise.

So why not start designing something that fits in a bit more with the overall camera system functionality and flow. I can't imaging it would be all that hard since you guys have pretty much done that before. Even if it was an FS-4 guts mounted in a different case. I think that there would be a much higher demand for this type of product rather than the current one. I noticed other companies are doing this (such as Nnovia) and the products look pretty appealing.
