well thats bitter sweat
the upgrade is most welcome,
but thats like the first BIOS upgrade in my known history that is charged for. The whole thing about a BIOS upgrade is it's fixing deficiencies of an original design, and they're going to charge us! hmm |

and the best part is they havent fully tested the thing yet on all the major NLE systems, even though the website says they have.

Ver 3 Update for DR HD-100
Hello:
Just wondering how long a delay you have experienced in receiving your download link via e-mail s/p purchase? I placed an order over three hours ago via the web and still have not received the link and, unfortunately, Focus Enhancements is closed at the present time ... where are they, anyway? Their corporate office is allegedly in Calif. and as such they should still be open but I suspect that support is elsewhere since their telephone system placed my call into an endless loop of a repetitive directory recording. Thank you in advance. |

I just bought the 2.x version a few weeks ago, and now they come out with 3.0...rrrrrrr
I've sent them a mail if there is an upgrade possibility with no charge like they do with most software if you bought the old software just before releasing another one. But no reply back so far...

Dr Hd-100
Thank you for the information. I just concluded a telephone conversation with Firestore. It seems that they have a rather antiquated approach to dealing with internet purchases. In a time where most internet download purchases are almost immediate, their's takes days ... makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I finally got the new upgrade. I called and got them to send me the link. They had my email wrong.
Everything works as expected but I ran into one glitch. FCPro 6.0.2 reports that 720p60 clips are "non-optimized" and that I should recapture them ect. for multistream playback. They seem to play OK. Anyone else see this warning upon import? Dave B |
