FS-C and botched audio?

For the most part, in the couple years I've been using the Firestore FS-C, I've had no problems at all... however the last couple projects that I've done, the audio of the file is somehow corrupted. I still merge the files together using the copy/b trick mentioned in the sticky, and I end up with a single file, but when I drag it into Vegas, there is no audio track. I can play the file in VLC and hear it, but the audio track is just not there in Vegas.

One option I've used is to import the file into TMPGenc and render out a .wav of the audio, but I still can't help but wonder why it's doing this suddenly.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
