Any Firestore users? at DVinfo.net

Anyone out there using the Videonics Firestore? Chris give it a pretty good review, and he seems happy with it. Has anyone hit any "chuckholes" with it?

Now that I (finally) solved a firewire speed problem with an external fw drive, I'm about ready to make the leap.

I checked the Focusinfo web page for software compatiblity -- it doesn't list EditDV/Cinestream as having been tested. Has anyone used this device with EDV on a MAC?

I plan to make the leap to FCP once I spring for a new G4 tower, but as long as I'm still using the slower G3, I'll stay with EDV.

Well, I guess I have to respond to this one myself.

Videography magazine did a nice review on this puppy in the current issue. Guess I'd better spring for one.
