HD editing with dual 2 core 2,00 ghz
Hello, I want to use a laptop with a dual 2 core 2,00 processor for editing DVCpro HD. (It is a Sony FZ11z) Is there any experience with this kind of laptop and can I edit HDV/HD. Is also the P2 player working well on it?.
Tips are welcome. Thanks a lot. |

Not exactly the same condition but I did some editing from HDV 1080 using my MACBOOK Core 2 DUO at 2GHZ as well my older Win XP desktop with a Core 2 Duo around the same clock and it both cases I had no problem, just takes a bit of time. If you use the laptop constantly you may want to have a 7200RPM HD

My Dell XPS Core 2 Duo laptop edits HDV and Cineform files very nicely in Sony Vegas. It has an internal 7200rpm drive and 2GB ram. I usually use an external firewire or USB drive to store the video files.
