"Hands on HDV: A Complete Guide to the HVR-Z1U and HDR-FX1"

Hey all, I did a search on here to no avail.

Does anyone have any information about this?

I've not seen it before and no one seems to have commented! It looks interesting and I'd like to know if anyone has bought it! I'm thinking of getting it..

Mr. Murphy,

The Chapter listing appears quite comprehensive and the trailer appeared very well done. It is only one DVD (90 mins) which seems a little short to cover all the features, functions, and controls on two cameras. But if it's as well done as it appears, then for only a dollar a minute you'll probably increase productivity somewhat over just reading the manual.

Please provide a review here if you do acquire this DVD; I didn't recognize any of the names that were listed on their review webpage, so at least the rest of us will read a statement from someone we know and trust. Thanx.

I think I'll probably buy it...or ask Steve Gotz if he wants to sell his used copy. :)

I was planning on selling mine, but I need to keep it in order to have access to the Z1 menus to help review some printed materials. I recommend it, but I am a little irritated with the way it skips over the FX1/Z1 differences, and have recently realized they skipped explaining the two types of color bars.

Does anyone know which model of shoulder brace the host is displaying in the Stabilizer section of HandsOn HDV? I've tried looking through all the different websites I could think of, but haven't found that particular model yet. I'm using a DVRig Pro right now, but the one I saw in this DVD looks like it might fit my particular shooting style better.

Hi Todd

Try sending them an email via the website - they seem quite responsive to email.
