Re: First Pro camcorder advice?

Thanks Mark

There is nothing worse than realising afterwards the mistakes I have made during filming. In one seen i took a great shot then realised my shadow was on the scene too!!

So, would pro videographers take a WB everytime the tripod or camera is moved?

LOL, if you wear a cowboy hat, then your shadow will add character to the scene.

The problem with auto white balance is that it rebalances even when not necessary and gets slightly different results each time. Rebalancing the white will be needed if you move from shade to sun or if the weather suddently changes. If the lighting hasn't changed, I prefer not to rebalance. Note, however, that the above advice (especially the part about the hat) is coming from an amateur who is not a pro videographer.
