80/85 minute tapes any good?

I see Sony just released an 85 minute tape.

Are 80 or 85 minutes reliable? Or risky for droupouts?

I would be warry of them, because in order to make the tape longer, Sony would have to make the tape thinner.
So you would most likely be more prone to dropouts, yes.
