Capture Quality

I have search this forum near and far and couldn't find an answer to my question. Maybe somebody can help me out. I was wondering if quality differs if you capture the tape (miniDV) through the "good" camera or a small home camera? I would prefer to capture it through the home cam to save a bit of life on my "good" camera....

SORRY WRONG POST IN WRONG THREAD

Hi David,

if you shoot for instance, normal SD, and you have a small SD home camcorder, yes, you can perfectly capture it with that.
Many people on this board to this, to lower the hours on their expensive camera's.
So it's no problem, if the format you shot, is also recognised by the home camcorder.
