Question about Canopus DV Raptor

I think about buying a DV Raptor (Basic not RT version). Does someone has experiences with it ? I'm not quit sure about some features of it. It has DV and analog in/out. Let's say i plug in a pro video monitor or a TV on the analog out and i cut something with Premiere 6. I heard that i get a full preview (all effects and transitions) without rendering the complet project on the monitor plugged into the analog out of the Raptor. Am i right or was that a missunderstanding of me ?

Best to go check out the huge, extensive online DVRaptor user's community -- go to the Canopus site at www.justedit.com and hit "user forums" at the top of the page.
