GeForce 8800GTS or Nvidia Quadro series?
I guess I'll be getting a quad core pc with 4G of ram soon. Was wondering if GeForce 8800GTS graphic card is good enough for smooth editing and rendering of HDV in Vegas rather than a Nvidia Quadro FX series card etc?
Just exactly how good is Quadro series in video editing? |

I was debating between a matrox card and the quadro 1500 card when i was building my system. I ended up going with the quadro card and i must say that i have not regretted it. everyone has their own preferences and im sure that some people prefer other cards than the quadro but for me the quadro was the right choice. i would get the best card that you can afford. a video card is one of the areas that you dont want to skimp on when you are building a system.

Rob,
Do you have the Quadro 1500 hooked up to a preview monitor? If so, is it working properly, do you have real-time playback and what NLE. Thanks
