Capturing SD recorded audio to HD edit

I'm soon to upgrade my FCP to edit in HD. No manuals to check yet so my question is: can Final Cut Suite set up to edit a 24p HD project capture and use audio from SD recorded tapes?

Thanks.

You can set up your FCP timelines with whatever audio and video perameters you want. Some SD (Betacam, for example) audio is 32k,12-bit whereas hd is normally 48k, at 16 bit.
So if your timeline is 48k, when you import a different sample rate, FCP will have to render the audio line to match the timeline. No biggie. / Battle Vaughan/miamiherald.com video team
