HELP! 61883 Device Class help!
Hey guys!
I'm running a WINDOW XP computer and I'm trying to connect my JVC-HD1U to my firewire port. I've tested both the camera and the firewire cable with my laptop and they've both worked perfectly although for some reason it doesn't read on my desktop. When I go into device manager it displays 61883 Device Class with a large yellow exclamation mark next to it. I've tried reintalling the drivers and I've checked various sites for further help. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if they have any known remedies. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this post. P.S: If I'm posting this in the wrong forum I apologize. It's my first post. :X

Welcome aboard DVInfo.net Marcus!
Which drivers did you try to install? Keep in mind that you will need Service Pack 2 (SP2) to get HDV to work (kinda). Get it at Microsoft (you can order a [free] cd if it is too large to download): http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx
