What Is The Proper Way To Capture Cf30?

WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO CAPTURE CF30?

I will be downconverting to SD "on the fly" from the HDR-FX1.

What DV settings should i be using in my NLE?

You capture it just like 60i. If your NLE doesn't see it as 30p (check the media properties or equivalent) then manually set it to 30p and start editing. Render using 30p formats or templates.
