How to record HDV from PC to HDR-HC1?

Hi,

I did a lot of recording on HDR-HC1 and downloaded them onto PC as mpeg but I'm running out of hard drive space very quickly. So, I was wondering if it it's possible to record them back on to tape for storage? I tried to do it but couldn't figure out how.

Also, is the timecode data conserved when the tape is downloaded to the PC and if it is, how do I view it? And now, if I re-upload the video footage on to tape, would I be able to see the original time code or is it lost forever?

Thanks.

Maybe...

I've read in various places that premiere pro does not allow export of m2t files back to tape, but using the aspectHD plug-in from Cineform, that this is possible.

Hope that helps.
