What are they different types of intermediaries for HDV

Just taking inventory for an upcoming shoot here guys,

On the pc platform, how many intermediary stand-alone or plugins (ei. hdv to avi and the like for lossless editing) are there (such as aspect and connect hd by cineform) that allows for hdv editing with different types of NLEs. I know canopus and avid have a similar solution, but I was wondering if there were others, especially any that might be application independent.

Thanks

Dwight
