Computer/Workstation Desks?

Anyone know of a Web site/store that sells affordable editing/PC desks? Of course, the desk is for home use; it must be able to fit computer/keyboard/two-three monitors/etc. Even though it would be less costly, I'd like to see what's out there before I build one of my own.

Dale,

This is the thread you're looking for.

When you say "affordable," you mean sub-$1000? The Home Depot route I describe may be just what you're seeking.

I've had my homemade desk for a year and a half, and I love it. It's sturdier and has a larger surface area than anything I could have bought for four times the cost. I have sitting on it four monitors, two keyboards, two mice, a PC, two speakers, a VCR, and three piles of books, papers and junk, and I still have enough clear space to write a letter or open a large book on it. I've jumped up and down on it; I wouldn't hesitate to chop firewood on it.

Of course, you may not want to expend the several days of effort such a project would require, in which case, here are links to some of your lower-cost pre-manufactured alternatives:
- Omnirax Force 12™ Professional Workstation
- Omnirax Presto Studio Desk + keyboard shelf for an additional $100
- Studio RTA Creation Station Studio Desk
(None of these options gives you four drawers of filing space like the Home Depot door desk does.)

Thanks a lot. My workstation has to be a corner desk. I'll check the links.

The IKEA Jerker got lots of recommendations from the folks at the LAFCPUG forum.
