Removing the Viewfinder
I need to send my HD-100 to be repaired (the old split-screen, would you believe it?) and in order to fit in the styrofoam cutout the camera shipped in it seems the viewfinder needs to be removed.
I don't remember exactly how it was packed when I received it (except that the lens and microphone were not attached). Does anyone know how to take off the viewfinder for shipping? I read on a JVC website that they recommend removing it before shipping, but they didn't say how to do it! Any help will be mucho appreciated as I need to send it soon (warranty almost up!) Thanks. |

Thanks Tim for the help. I wondered whether that knob might do something but I didn't play with it. I should have.
