HDMI to DVI Field Monitor

I was curious if anyone used the HDMI out on the JVC HD100 to the DVI of a computer monitor as a field monitor. It is basically just to have a bigger field monitor that several people on the shoot can look at.

If the HDMI out is being used, can the component out be used at the same time?

Stay tune for more rambling questions.

Hi Ryan,

The HD100 doesn't have HDMI out, only Composite, Component and FireWire.

By the way concerning HDMI signals, they are DVI compatible (without the embedded audio and copy protection) Adapter cables are available.

HA! That was a test. Because there is no way I would think that the FireWire port was an HDMI by accident. I mean, who would do something like that?
