battery runing at 8.0Volt
hi
i found some lithium battery for notebook also works for GYHD101E and it runs at 8.0Volt i also read manual says that it should not run above 7.9volt will this cause problem? if i have to make it lower in voltage , anyways?? thanks JY |

I would not use notebook batteries, certainly not of a higher voltage on your HD101, as the charged voltage will be higher then the 8.0 nominal voltage.
I have used Sony Camera batteries for a while (through an NPA-10000 adapter) which have the same 7.2 voltage as the small JVC battery, and which worked fine. Do not charge the batteries through the camera! But in a seperate charger. Another note is that notebook batteries have a certain specification for a discharge load versus temperature. If you draw too much current from the battery, it could get too hot. So I would not do what you want to do if you are serious about connecting this to your expensive camera and possible damage. Not even thinking of a breakdown while shooting for a client. |
