I would change your Firewire cable and try again to shoot several shots to see if the problem stays. Do you have the right settings in the camera to give the Firewire priority of the tape [IEEE1394]? I don't have the menu settings by hand to give the exact menu item inside the camera.

If you connect the DR-HD100 back to your camera, and you play the file from the DR-HD100, do you see also the magenta color in your Viewfinder/LCD?
Or does it happen while capturing on your PC/Mac only?

Sorry to say i down load it to the computer.
then tech told to use the repair disk option so did
after the i ran the repair disk it came back complete meaning everything ck out ok he said to format SO I did that
shot 2 clips both were perfect

i check both though the camera lcd and computer monitor PERFECT

I ALSO BOUGHT FOCUS 180 MIN. BATT FOR MY DR HD100
1 ALSO HAVE 4BATTERIES FOR BROADCAST 12O WH BATT
I CAN USE THAT TO RUN DR HD100 WITH IDX SYS
WHEN I HAVE THAT BATTERY CONTECTED TO THE DR100 IT SURE CHARGES IT FAST
FOCUS ENCHAN. DOES NOT LIKE ME DOING USING A IDX OR 4BATTERIES FOR BROADCAST.

thanks
JOE

HELLO MARC:

you know the tech brought out a good point
when i was shooting the clips i was sitting and had the camera resting on
my lap looking thourgh the view finder i might have rested my right arm on the firewire connection on the DR 100. Its a thought.
maybe thats why the (1 thourgh 2) clips were good. (3 was bad) 4 was good.

Talk to you later
Joe
