I Ordered the Redrock microMattebox Deluxe bundle and the 82mm to 72mm step down ring. I included a question in the order notes, asking if I need the ring for the HD200 stock lens, just to make sure I'm ordering the correct stuff. They replied saying that I don't need the ring, but asked what I needed the ring for (kind of making the question and answer recursive).

Now I'm a bit cofused, so does anybody know whether I actually need this (or another) step down ring. Below are links to the two products:

Step down ring:

Thanks,

Dan

Daniel,

The step down ring is used with the M2 adapter, it connects the stock lens with the achromatic lens.

If you're not using an M2 you don't need the step-down ring.

Hope that helps.
