wireless monitor???

Greetings,

I'm looking for a portable wireless video monitor, maybe 5" or so in size. It must have 16:9 capabilities and be self powered. I have done some searching on the web, but thought some people here may have some advice on a product or a place to look for one.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
James

It depends on how much you are willing to part with, if you want top quality wireless here is a nice option although its expensive

It has an IDX v mount on the back and mixed with this http://www.mitcorp.com/public/view_i...r=idx_wevi-cam is a great setup.

Iv used the wevi on jobs before and loved it. It'll set you back 3 and a half grand

Andy.

Thanks, the link takes you to a site that says the IDX model seems to be discontinued.

Any other thoughts?

havn't done any research on the matter but even if the product has been discontinued you would still be able to get hold of one and probably at a lesser price, just have a good look on the net.

A quick search came back with this http://www.zotzdigital.com/item.php?...ce9a48a814e46a which seems to be the new wevi HD,

bare in mind for this option your camera will need to have the idx v mount.

IDX has a new one: http://www.idx-europe.co.uk/?p=products&id=CW-5HD (or the US site).

It was announced at NAB 2008 and expected to ship Q3 '08, so anytime soon.

Reported price for a set: $6000.

P.S. Andy, I should really have read your post more closely... Oh well.
